Introduction

Thermaltake’s expansion beyond chassis and power supplies over the past few years has been a highly successful venture with both the range and quality of their peripherals on offer serious contenders with more established ranges. The Thermaltake Theron is a middle-ranged gaming mouse from Thermaltake’s gaming arm, Tt eSports, in both features and price and is the next mouse rung up the ladder from the previous mouse from Thermaltake I previously reviewed, the  Thermaltake Black.

So, what makes the Theron tick? Let’s have a look below.

The Theron’s product page is devoid of any buzzwords and monikers and instead purposes the Theron as a pure gaming mouse much in the same way the Black was all but marketed as an FPS-only mouse. This isn’t a problem, of course, if not quite refreshing to see a manufacturer take it back to the basics and go from there. Thermaltake are offering up a laser tracking, 5600DPI, weight customisable mouse for your cash. Add to this the expected macro and a configurable nature of the eight buttons, the Theron looks to be a solid mouse on paper.

How does the Theron’s specifications translate into a product? Let’s take a closer look.
