Packaging & Accessories

As per normal I am going to start with the packaging for the cooler. From the front and the top of the box we can see the True Spirit model branding, as well as the Thermalright logo and a nice high quality picture of the product that you will find inside the box. This is a nice little touch as the consumer can see the product that they are looking to buy and to see whether it will fit in with the theme of their build.

On the right hand side of the box we get a brief specifications list, which can be found on the previous page. This list is in English, German, French and Spanish to cater for some of the main European markets.

On the left hand side of the box we have some interesting information with regards to compatibility and performance of the cooler itself. First off, we have some information stating that the cooler is compatible with all of the current Intel and AMD sockets, which is no mean feat in itself. Secondly we have the 6x 8mm heat pipes which supply the heat to the fin array, these are an integral part of the cooler and we will look at them in more depth shortly. Next up we have the stated 360 watt thermal design power, this means that the cooler should be able to cope with the heat from our toasty 4770k. We then have a little more information with regards to the Silent PWM fan which has been bundled with the cooler itself, this should allow the cooler to keep an optimal noise to performance ratio throughout operation. Lastly we have the easy mounting of the cooler and the high end thermal paste that is included with the cooler.

The back of the box features a similar picture to that of the front. This time we have an image of the cooler from a higher field of view, which shows the black plate used on the top of the fin array, this means that it will tie in nicely with a red and black themed build. Also of note are the large number of awards this cooler has won. Will it get one from us?

Lastly, here is the view from when we first open the box of the cooler itself. We can see the instruction manual for the True Spirit 140 Power cooler as well as a thin foam pad in the top which protects the cooler itself, with the 12 heat pipe terminals protruding through.
