[section_title title=Introduction]Ā Introduction

  • Manufacturer: Braebo Computers
  • Model:Ā Hercules AMD FM2+
  • RRP: Ā£449 (At time of review)

Even though everyone knows someone who can ā€œbuildā€ a PC system, not everyone has the ability or sometimes even those who do, like the convenience of having someone do it for them.Ā  The main question is when looking for a system is, what do you intend to use it for?Ā  What is your budget?Ā  Obviously those two things can contrast well and other times can be as far apart as the north and south pole but todays focus will be on the latest phenomenon from AMD; namely in the form of their APUā€™s on the FM2+ chipset.

Braebo themselves originate from Rushden, UK and have been in the business of building/shipping custom build PCs for multiple years.Ā  Combine this experience with AMD FM2+ and you should get a capable gaming system which shouldnā€™t break the bank.Ā  The Hercules system itself features the new AMD A10 7800 APU on a Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H motherboard.Ā  This is complimented with 8GB of 2133MHz AMD branded memory and encased inside the vibrant Aero Cool DS Dead Silence chassis; in this case the red version.

With a current price of Ā£449, does Braebo have a competitive option in comparison to other companies and more importantly, does it perform well enough to signify a purchase?Ā  Letā€™s find out, starting with the specificationsā€¦
