Micro-Star International Co., LTD (MSI) Was founded by five people in August of 1986 and is now one of the worlds largest information technology manufacturers. They started primarily with motherboards and graphics cards but over the years have expanded and now cover a wide range of products including notebooks, All-in-one PCs, desktops and tablets to name a few. According to MSI their main core values are to pursue innovation, style, customer satisfaction and premium service  to be the best of the global brands.

Today I will be taking a look at the MSI Z97 GUARD-PRO which is a motherboard made for bitcoin mining. However, I give it the old Play3r look and see how well it can stand up when it comes to gaming when paired with Intel’s Pentium G2358. It featues multi-GPU support via AMD Crossfire, support for DDR3 RAM 3300(OC) as well as M2, USB3 and SATA 6GB/s. It also comes with OC Genie 4, Click BIOS 4 and support for 4K UHD.

Before we get into the fun stuff, here is a little more about the Z97 GUARD-PRO:

The MSI Z97 GUARD-PRO Motherboard protects the essential elements which increase stability in the worst conditions. All key components used in MSI motherboards have all passed extreme testing ensuring stable operation in the harshest environments. Carefully selected materials, multiple PCB layers and shielding result in the best circuit protection for MSI motherboards. On top of that, with MSI ECO Center you can save up to 29% of power.
