In traditional Noctua fashion, they have packed the NH-D15 in a regular style Noctua box but the main difference here is the sheer height of the box; this signifies it’s going to be a monster.  The box encompasses a black and dark brown box with white accents which gives a nice contrast.  All the relevant information such as the brand (Noctua of course) and the model number (NH-D15) are clearly visible.

On the rear, we have a more detailed list of the specifications which allows consumers in a retail environment to see exactly what they are getting etc.

Opening up the legendary Noctua packaging, we have regimented separately placed boxes containing the mounting kits for AMD/Intel and also the accessories including thermal paste etc.  These are not only neatly packed but quite tight which should avoid movement while in transit.

After removing the accessories and mounts, we have the NH-D15 encased inside its box.  Wedged down the side is the 2nd Noctua fan which is the AF15 premium.

  1. Hi, don’t the RAMs not overheat due to the proximity of the cooling iron? Have you done any measurements comparing the overall performance with the same one, just using a smaller fan, say NH-D15S or similar? Because if RAM overheats, the overall performance might decrease even with faster processor.
