Sennheiser HD 335s Review

[section_title title=Introduction]Introduction

With the emergence of many different audio companies over the years, the market has been ever changing and has diversified a lot to what people look for in audio equipment.  Take headphones for example, people not only purchase them just for quality, they buy for style and with brands like Monster and Skull candy currently taking the market by storm, how do the stalwarts of the industry cope?

Sennheiser were born merely weeks after the end of the WW2 by Fritz Sennheiser who I also might add sadly passed away in 2010, but not only did he leave an audio legacy stretching back decades, his company is responsible for some of the best headphones ever seen on the market.  Their first open headphones (HD 414) are still the current best-selling set of headphones of all time.

With that being said, today I will be taking a look at their HD 335s headphones, which include a built-in microphone for use with the latest smartphones on the market.  Will the inclusion of top quality audio quality and the functionality of hands free calling via smartphones be a winning combination for Sennheiser?  Let’s find out, starting with the specifications…

What Sennheiser say about the HD 335s:

Experience pure sound with deep bass and outstanding wearing comfort with Sennheiser’s HD 335s headset for smartphones and tablets.
The HD 335s enables you to take calls in between listening sessions of your favorite music tracks or enjoy mobile gaming.
The closed on-ear headphone design provides an outstanding cancelation of ambient noise – while an integrated hinge on the right ear-cup allows you to flip it up and talk to people around you.
The volume control is embedded in the ear-cup while calls and song tracks can be managed right from the in-line remote.
The Sennheiser HD 335s headset is compatible with all major smartphone and tablet brands like Apple iPhone, Samsung, HTC, Sony, Nokia, Blackberry, etc.
