Recently the minimum and recommended specs were released for the upcoming expansion to Elite Dangerous.
MINIMUM PC SPECIFICATIONS:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
- Processor: Quad Core CPU (4 x 2Ghz)
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 470 / ATI 7240HD (DirectX 11 functionality required)
- Network Broadband Internet Connection
- Hard Drive: 8 GB available space
RECOMMENDED PC SPECIFICATIONS:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K Quad Core CPU or better / AMD FX 4350 Quad Core CPU or better
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 770 / AMD Radeon R9 280X or better
- Network Broadband Internet Connection
- Hard Drive: 8 GB available space
The differences from the base game for the minimum specs are 6 GB of ram rather then 4 GB , the graphics cards need to be better then the GTX 260 / ATI 4870HD recommended before , 8 GB of hard drive space rather then the 7 GB and the biggest change is the OS now has to be 64 bit.
My own thoughts:Â With them introducing planetary exploration I knew it would require a bit more power to render, I had actually bought the main game a while back but was waiting for this expansion before I put some serious time into it.
