AMD R9 380X NITRO revealed by Sapphire 2

An official announcement came from Sapphire last week which detailed an unveiling of the R9 380x NITRO, the love child of Sapphire and NITRO Gaming.

So, what does the R9 380X NITRO feature spec wise you may be asking? Well, we have a breakdown for you so comparison between GPU’s is made much easier (See below)

AMD is aiming high with this GPU, hoping to push as far as an entry level 1440p capable device and being able to burn high detailed graphics at 60 FPS on demanding games such as Grand Theft Auto 5 and Star Wars: Battlefront.

As previously mentioned, we can see support for DirectX 12 being made for the R9 380X along with compatibility with Vulkan API, a cross-platform 3D graphics and compute API. With this in mind, we hope to see better performance for the future as games become rolled put with Vulkan API at the heart of its engine.
